Overview[]
Black Tanks are high speed tanks that rapidly fire rockets. They have the unique property that makes them lay mines near breakable blocks, contrary to other mine-laying tanks where they place them randomly. The Black Tank can be considered an upgrade to the Teal Tank.
Strategy[]
- Move cautiously, as Black Tanks can fire where you will be due to their low accuracy.
- As of 0.7.9, they have pathfinding. Use this to your advantage and place mines around corners that they can run into.
- Remember that their bullets can't bounce, so use this to your advantage and ricochet your bullets against walls.
- Try waiting behind a wall and shooting the Black Tank right as it rounds the bend. This works well due to Black Tanks being extremely aggressive, but make sure to take note of other threats such as Purple or Green Tanks that can shoot you behind cover.
Trivia[]
- The Black Tank is introduced on Mission 36, unlike Mission 50 in the original Wii Tanks. This is due to Mission 50 being a Boss Mission.
- Contrary to the original Wii Tanks, Black Tanks use a separate theme, as opposed to layering the themes of Green Tanks and White Tanks, this was likely done to avoid confusion if there were White Tanks and/or hidden Green Tanks in the level.
Theme[]
Snare + Piccolo + Timpani (teal) + Cymbals + Cello
