The True Run is a permanent 100-mission challenge that mimics the gameplay of the original tanks.
Overview[]
The first 20 missions are predetermined, then all missions after that reuse existing map layouts with randomly chosen tanks, with the exception of most missions in the multiple of 5. New tanks and layouts are introduced to challenge the player along the way.
The True Run can only be completed on either Adult or Grandpa difficulties. No AI companions are allowed to assist players in the completion of this challenge.
Enemy Tanks[]
Many tanks from the classic campaign are included in the True Run. The Cruise Tank is makes its formal debut in this challenge. Explosive tanks, black tanks, rocket defenders, and cruise tanks have caps in random missions to avoid the possibility of getting an incredibly hard mission.

Mid-Run Events[]
Some things are changed during a run of the True Run. These can include introductions of new tanks, and the increasing of tanks in random missions.
- Initially, random missions have 5 tanks each.
- Mission 37 and onwards has 6 tanks in random missions.
- After mission 55 is completed, cruise tanks can in appear in random missions, with a cap of 1. (They don't have a formal debut mission unlike all other tanks)
- Mission 61 and onwards has 7 tanks in random missions.
- After mission 65 is completed, black tanks have their caps increased from 2 → 3.
- After mission 70 is completed, explosive tanks have their caps increased from 1 → 2.
- After mission 75 is completed, rocket defenders have their caps increased from 1 → 2.
- Mission 78 and onwards has 8 tanks in random missions.
- After mission 80 is completed, cruise tanks have their caps increased from 1 → 3.
- Mission 89 and onwards has 9 tanks in random missions.
- Mission 97 and onwards has 10 tanks in random missions.
Additionally, each set of 10 missions in True Run has one nighttime mission. After mission 20, randomly chosen missions can be turned nighttime for a different pacing in gameplay, except for predetermined missions, missions that introduce new map layouts, and after mission 96 is completed.
