Overview[]
Commander Boom is the second boss the player encounters. It appears on mission 30 in the Classic Campaign.
Commander Boom is a large tank with a dark purple body and an octagonal turret fitted with 8 barrels in all directions. Like other bosses, Commander Boom will start to flame up when low on health, and will create a massive non-harmful explosion when defeated.
While fighting Commander Boom, its health will be shown at the top of the screen as a transparent purple healthbar.
Current Arena[]
In the current arena, Commander Boom is trapped in a cage of holes in the centre. The player can hide behind multiple blocks surrounding the cage. Commander boom will continuously spin its turret clockwise, and his barrels will constantly fire rockets in unison. After a third of Commander Boom's health has been depleted, half of the blocks guarding the player will drop down into the ground. After two thirds of Commander Boom's health has been depleted, the remaining blocks will also drop into the ground. Commander Boom will sometimes fire explosive bullets instead of rockets in this phase.
Old Arena[]
In the old arena, you and Commander Boom are in a rectangular arena. The walls are made of purple lines, and will bounce both you and Commander Boom away on contact. Throughout the fight, the walls slowly close in. At first, all of Commander Boom's barrels periodically fire normal bullets in unison. After he has been damaged significantly, he will start shooting rockets that bounce once, making for a very chaotic battle with the shrinking arena.
Strategy[]
- Overwhelm Commander Boom with your own bullets. The rockets won't be able to hit you!
- Keep a close watch for the rockets, once they begin to bounce, they can be difficult to predict. Never waste all your bullets, make sure to keep at least one on hand for defence.
Trivia[]

- The cage of holes used to be much larger in the old arena.
- Commander Boom used to use Big Red's healthbar.
- Commander Boom used to be a Placeholder for Secret Mission 17.
